With the holidays there's been a lot of reminiscing. I found these old pictures of cars that, well you know, I wish I still had.
The XK-120 was taken in 1965 and the XK-150 about 10 years later by a friend ahead of us (temporarily) in an MGB.

I grew up with a 140 FHC MC that was sold when the parents divorced. Lots of memories there. First car I ever tuned let alone reinstalled engine by myself at 15. I bought a 120 Sport, louvered hood and all, a basket case, for $120 and resold 3 years later, because I couldn't get it done for $750.
The Grey XJS V-12 Coupe was the smoothest ride yet. That's memories.

Thanks, Larry. I hope you had a great Christmas, too.
That 120, well back then, they were just "used cars". I bought that one for 150 bucks because the engine would not turn over.
I wasn't much of a mechanic then, but I took a chance. I towed it to a shop, who discovered it was the starter hung up on a bad ring gear.
Less than another 100 bucks and I was rolling.
Later a pregnant wife, led me to put it up for sale.
I thought that the 500 dollars that I got for it was pretty good. Who knew ?
