Geez. I have to admit to wishing I had kept my Healey and stayed around here. But, things happen as you probably know. My Bugeye experiment didn't work out and I had to abandon the project. I guess I've turned to the dark side in a way. I've become a Porsche owner and enjoy it quite a bit but I will always love the cars from the UK. Heck... my first sports car was a '69 Spitfire and right after that bought a '64 Healey 3000 mkIII that had RHD. Those were the days. Here's a shot of my current car. It has been heavily modified -- it's more of a hot rod really. Anyway, I hope to visit here more often.

:savewave: Welcome Back.

Okay now that I've been nice let me ask one question? Why or why did you get rid of your Healey? While your current vehicle (Can't force myself to utter a non LBC nomen.) is definitely eye candy, it's just not a Healey.

Thanks for the welcome...non LBC nomen? I've never been good with acronyms though I guess the BC is british car. I like a lot of different sports cars. I had a beautiful 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV that was a hoot to drive. Anyway, It's a long and not very interesting story. But it boiled down to money... or rather, the lack of it — not been able to afford to keep both cars and I had too much invested in the Porsche. I never got to drive the Bugeye and it's too bad because I had a really nice engine ready to drop into her.

A friend mailed me a photo of my old AH 3000 a couple of years ago. I'd love to own another some day but it's a long shot.

I'll just have to enjoy the photos of your cars here which are really great.

Welcome back! I can certainly understand the appeal of air-cooled 911s. I have always liked them.
Actually, I've seen a lot of great deals of 996s and 997s lately. It's really tempting.
Some of the local PCA guys race in our vintage club (VRG).
