Welcome!
I've only been here since around May myself but I too ended up with a '63 Midget about that time and have managed 2000 miles racked up on it this season. (doubling it's miles driven since 1987!).
Great looking car you've got.
Here's mine

Note the "custom" wood dash. Which is sorta cool I guess.
I do have a blank '63 dash that I might re-do but the to-do list has more important things on it at the moment.
What's the #s off yours? The VIN I mean.
Welcome again!

Welcome!

Nice looking Midget. Is it restored? Looks like it's in great shape.

Yeah, we need LOTS more pictures of it.

It is pretty much au'natural. Not restored. Original interior, engine gauges ect. No rust. Tranny was rebuilt and new clutch pack a few years (but not many miles) ago. It was painted in the early 90's. It has 36000 miles and sat in a heated warehouse from 73, with 32,000, until the early 90's.
Newer minilites and a newer steering wheel put on about the same time as the paint. Unfortunately, the prior owner threw away the original wheels, hubcaps and steering wheel.

Overall, the car is in really great shape and has that nice "old car" patina

Rest assured, it gets driven a lot now.

jvandyke, the number of the car is GAN2L 18239.

Here is another picture

And a picture of her peeking out from under her covers...
It's really cold up here right now.

The engine was painted a nonoriginal earlier red color while it was out for the tranny rebuild. I would rather they had left it green, but, oh well.

Oh well, next time it is out you can go grean. Very nice Midget and welcome to our place on the web.

Nice. We've got the same Monza exhaust too, and mispainted engine, mine was red, I had to pull soon after getting the car to swap gearboxes so I had the chance to go green but couldn't make myself wait for the Moss order, so I went blue of all silliness. Mine's been hacked up a bit, Weber carb and header, just a minute ago bought a decent set of air cleaner housings off ebay to go back to the original dual carbs. Don't see too many black Midgets.

Nice looking car. Welcome to the forum.

jvandyke,

I tried to go to your page to look at the Midget, but it said I need to download some updated or new software to look... Sorry, I really enjoy looking at pictures of other peoples cars... especially spridgets

Jack,
I'm retired Air Force too... That's how I ended up in North Pole,, uh, I mean Dakota...

Then a double welcome for an Air Force bud. Careful though we got some army guys as well.

LOL, and Marines and Navy and Coast Guard, etc.

Weird. Try a different browser? Safari? Firefox?
Here's a picture anyway. I like to show it off.

Yes I have some wiring work to deal with behind that dash.
I love your red/black colors. I hope to revinyl my cockpit surround trim (PO left it raw aluminum) and tiddy up the wiring.

Nice ride.

Very Nice. I am a real sucker for the side curtain spridgets whether it's the square ones or the frog eye. I like them all, but those are the ones that catch my eye first.
Here's a couple more.. The black and red would look good parked next to each other.
Is that a AH steering wheel center insignia?

Two grand daughters deciding just how hard it would be to drive off in "Papa's" little race car.

Dash shot.
The shifter surround was put on upside down during tranny work. I haven't gotten around to correcting it.
