it seems that what i see is that some healeys have been painted in a little bit more creamy white colour ( a bit darker or if 0,5% yellow was added to the paint) - then some of otheres are very ver just white -

but as ive understood old english white and white is the same paint code ??

but if ya look at these cars then ( i guess that its same paint code but prehaps it isent)

this looks just white =

i my self prefear the one a little creamy.

does anyone here know if its just the way the photos is taken that does the difference or if its me thats wrong ?

<span style="font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'">Hey Soren,

Actually, the two BCF photos in the middle are the same car. The first one was taken last year in our driveway, the second one is when we first bought the car and the photo was taken in the shade. If you want me to send you some close up shots, just send me a PM let me know. In the near future, I'm going to have a color match done so I can get some touch-up paint made. When I get it, I can send you the mix ratios.

Without specific reference to Healey codes, Old English White is very different from plain old white (often called Glacier White in BMC cars). Glacier White is the easiest to describe. It's white. Plain, old-fashioned kitchen appliance white. Old English White is rather more complicated to describe. More of a creamy yellowish white. Often, I've seen non-car people refer to any English car done in white as "Old English White" when in fact, it's not.

To my mind, at least, the last car you linked to is Old English White, while the others are not.

But that's just my two cents!

For a decent reference, ~Click Here~ to see various BMC colours.

My '69 MGB is Snowberry White, which is sort of similar to the Old English White.

Hard to tell by looking at images on a computer, much depends on monitor, software, and settings. best to get some paint chips (not pictures but actual paint samples). BTW I think the color you refer to as 'creamy ish' is actually called primrose yellow.

Nice MGC MadRiver, and yes primrose yellow it is. On closer inspection the creamy ish Healey is probably creamy ish afterall.

As Nevets said, impossible to compare colors on a computer screen. Attached are two pics of the same photo above. One original, the other with increased red & increased brightness.

Re: old english vs white vs a more creamy white !!

Here is another link that shows some of the different whites. https://www.teglerizer.com/mgcolors/index.html Coming to your original question/ observation/ I just had mine painted - came to the Healey Board here for the code as my wife had picked the colour from a big Healey. For some bizarre reason my body guy couldn't get the code to work so we ended up finding the Olde English White code for an MGF - modern code - but VERY creamy - I love it and so does everyone who sees it. If we hadn't used this code, we actually would have gone with a Chevy Colour called Dover White - which apparantly is also a creamy white. Don't forget either that even in different light the colour will look different and the factory paints themselves would all be different depending on dye lot as well as the last colour in the lines. Finally, my son takes photography at college and one of their big annual tasks is truing up all their printers so they print the same. In other words, I'm with you, I love the creamy white - so pick one and go for it.
