That is awesome. In the Spit commercial, I'm willing to bet the voiceover is Jean Shepard....once a renowned radio personality and currently best known for his semi-autobiographical 1983 movie: "A Christmas Story"
Notice- to spin the tires...grass, probably damp, was necessary. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I think that you are right....it *does* sound like Jean Shepard. I remember seeing him do standup when I was in college. He drove a Morgan back then. Later, he wrote a column in Car & Driver magazine (way back, when it was good). One of my officemates used to talk to him on Ham radio all the time.
I love the Spitfire clip. Anything with old airplanes and Brit-cars and I'm in!
I'm pretty sure that many of you have seen the more famous (or *infamous*) Spitfire clip with Alain deCadent.
If not, here is a link below. But caution!....Alain uses some *bad* language (though understandable, considering the circumstance).
"I'm a guy who likes to work on my car. I like to take it apart and put it back together. I get to working on it and I forget where I am, what time it is, what my name is, how to stand up. Why, I even forget to breathe. I like to cough. Cough up pieces of lung. I always cough up pieces of lung when I work. They go together. Would I recommend Marlboro? I already have. What, you want to live forever?"
steve s, ive heard all the guys that did those marlboro ads are dead, and what the heck is he thinkin bout anyway? how to tell his wife that hed just bought that m.g? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
