I just wanted to say "Hello" to you Triumph guys. Ol'Basil is my 74 TR 6. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/computer.gif Been together for about a year and half now and has been real good company. So far I've been able to handle the problems that have come up. Of course, these Forums are great for learning, too. I've been on the 6- pack and the Moss sites and looking forward to getting to know you all.

Welcome to the Forum, hope you have a sense of humor.

Welcome aboard!

Great wealth of info on this forum, quite a bit of it really good stuff, Heh.

Welcome to our little slice of Heaven, courtesy of another Basil, but he's more of a human type of guy.

We're clean, friendly, helpful, kind and enjoy guys from the south. We northerners are jealous that you guys can drive top down nearly all year.

Yeah, even TR6 Bill is an OK kinda guy, but then again, he's from Louisiana, so we'd expect that. Cajun and all, you know.

Come back and visit often and feel free to help us out any time. It was nice to see you here.....

I will get pictures posted. I've always had a problem with that kind of stuff. Need wife's help and if she sees that I'm on another Forum... well I'll have to catch her right.
If that TR6Bill is from Franklin, we might be related. Mother was born there. Yeah, I'm a transplant. Grew up in Baton Rouge. There were a lot of cool sports cars there. Back then they were cheap and plentiful. Bought an XK120 for 150 bucks; sold it for 500 and thought I made a good deal.

First thing you have to do is change the name of your car.The head swammy of this bunch of rag-a-muffins doesn't have much of a sense of humor and might think you are making fun of him. He can't help it he has a Jagwar. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/angel.gif

first thing you need to do is build a big garage and tear it apart, then ask questions.... welcome aboard

Hi There Poolboy;

Looks like you found your way to the Triumph Folks /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif

I too had purchased a `57XK140 Rdstr for $5K (Big Bucks): Sold her after 2 seasons of driving for $10K (Wow; Was that a Sweet Profit)! Now, You can`t buy one for less than $100K! "OUCH"!

Have Fun here: Nice bunch of folks even if some of us are from the North:

Regards, Russ /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif

Ok.fellas, I'm going to try to put a link to a photobucket album that has some pictures of my personal Ol' Basil. I hope this works because my wife is standing by to help and really would like to go to bed. Maybe I shouldn't have phrased it like that but you know what I mean.
Here goes...

Hey that's not so hard

Hey Tom!! Poolboy's got wings like yours.

PB, where did you get the nerf bars for the front and rear of the car? (See how long I've been around? I actually know what they're called)

Thanks Paul, that was killing me! It was on the tip of my tongue.

Nerf bars, yes you have been around for a while. When I was looking for them and "googled" for them I got all kind of things like running boards etc.
Finally, found these and you'll remember these too. From an AC Cobra. Look familiar? Sunvisors, too.

Knew they looked familiar, but couldn't place 'em... "OldTimers' Disease" I guess.

You mean there's a Cobra rollin' around somewhere sans its nerf bars?!?!
How uncivilised. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif
