TR6 Oil Pressure Relief Valve- TR6

Flummoxed

I changed this, but just put the new one in dry. Is there a need to oil the plunger or spring? I assumed it would receive oil from the block. It is working fine, my pressure has increased. But, wanted to be sure. Thanks.

I replaced mine about a year ago and also installed it dry. Its been working fine since then. Like you, I assumed it would get oiled from the block. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Thanks, Jerry. I also noticed, after the fact, that Moss sold a unit with a stronger spring that claimed to raise oil pressure. My pressure is good, but that is an interesting option.
