TR4/4A Oil pressure gauge hose

Hi all.
I am trying to replace the oil pressure gauge line with a stainless steel braided one. The new one replaces the rigid gauge line and the short braided hose at the end of the line. So the new line will join the other rigid line that goes to the oil pump.
I can't get access to get 2 stubby wrenches on the connection between old braided and remaining rigid lines.
Surely you don't have to remove the fuel pump do you?
Any advice welcome.
Thanks.

My 64 TR4 has no braided hose. Just a rigid line from the oil filter head to a junction at the firewall where it connects to a plastic line to the gauge. Here:

Lots of swing room for wrenches there. As mentioned - the rigid line is held by a P-clip under the rear nut/stud for the fuel pump.

Do your lines not look like mine?

As I recall I only had to remove the one fuel pump mounting nut near the braided lines mounting point.
And that rear nut on the fuel pump is best removed using a 1/4" ratchet with a short extension on the 1/2" socket.
