oil pans

I doubt it. different engines. 2.0 vs 2.5, but you never know until you put them side by each. The 2.0 was based on the spitfire engine with 2 more cylinders.

The only difference I've seen is the location of the drain plug (center vs side).

The TR6 pan isn't shallow enough in the front to clear the steering rack on the GT6. The GT6 pan isn't deep enough to allow crank rotation on the longer stroke TR6 (although I've heard it can be "modified" with a hammer).

Thanks Guys There is a Gt6 oil pan on ebay that was priced ok but I am looking for a TR6 pan. I thought that they might be the same. I will just keep looking. John

Same family of engines that date back to the Standard 8 & 10, then onto the Herald, then the Spitfire. The six cylinders began with 1600cc's which was then bored to 2000cc's and finally stroked to 2500cc's.

Pans are slightly different due to crank differences and chassis differences as stated above.
