Oil filter on Bugeye question

This is another question like the one I asked recently about getting to the distributor in the Bugeye.

And the answer is probably the same: With difficulty.

The question is: How in the world do you get to the oil filter in the Bugeye to change it? There appears to be no way to do it from above, through the engine compartment. I looks like the only possible way is from beneath, through a small hole more or less directly below the filter. But there doesn't seem to be enough room to wrestle the filter into place.

Really need your help on this one as I need to change the oil and filter soon.

BTW: I have a spin-on oil filter.

It's not difficult at all from underneath...

If you think its tough on a BE you ought to try it on most modern vehicle's!

Kurt.

Shouldn't be that hard. Car on ramps, grab the filter from underneath. I usually use K&N filters because you can use a 1" stubby wrench on them. There's two or three variations on the spin on filter mount though...
