Oil cooler

I have an oil cooler on my car but it is currently disconnected as I’m waiting to get new hoses. I have noticed no difference in engine temperatures under normal road use in the UK. I suspect it only really helps under prolonged race conditions. It will not solve the ‘normal’ overheating problems that seem to affect some Healeys.

I'm almost embarrassed to chime in after seeing the great fabrication jobs posted above, but I did the old-school mount in front of the radiator. A spin-on filter attachment and thermostat bypass were installed, along with an oil temperature probe in the oil pan drain plug. Coupled with a Texas Cooler fan my Healey did fine in Dallas summers - that said both of us are much happier with the summers here in the Pacific Northwest.
