Oil Cooler Installation

I'm planning on installing a 10-row oil cooler on my Bugeye (1275cc engine). I presume that the external pipe on the passenger side of the engine is the high pressure oil supply line to the oil filter, and that the oil cooler is piped into this line...correct? None of the books or manuals that I have say anything about aux. oil coolers or their installation.

Any advice much appreciated,

Yes, the banjo fitting on the right rear of the block is the output of the oil pump. It is a 3/8 BSP which equates to 5/8-18 UNF thread. Depending on the oil line size and fittings you are running you will need to adapt to this size. If you are using -06 AN fittings they sell an inverted flare / power steering / fuel pump adapter like an aeroquip FCM2964 (steel), FCM2108 (Al) or Earls at summit racing. If you are going larger that -06 then Winners Circle has them. The filter side should be 1/4" FNPT. If the egine is apart it can be tapped to normal pipe thread.
