I was feelings really good- I made a gadget to cradle the differential in order to reinstall. Every thing was ready- torqued the suspension pieces- now no brakes. There was sheen of fluid under the car- nothing new there. The master cylinder is empty, the connections at the various places are dry. I wonder where it went. Triumphest is getting close and I wanted to put some miles on the car and new parts before driving across the desert.
T.T.

If it is a TR6, could be leaking into the booster.

Cheers,

Check yer rear wheel cylinders. My last Spitfire gave me that surprise one time. Hard to hide fluid anywhere else, on the bulkhead it should be obvious I'd think.

double check the lines around the diff. You might have cracked one during the diff installation. Otherwise pull the wheels and make sure that the cylinders aren't spewing on you.

Mystery solved. For some reason the clip that holds the washer in the master cylinder had come out... there was fluid on the floor mat. Putin a replacement- all internal and new clip. Added fluid andopunped the pedal a few times and bult pressure.
Went to bleed the system and the and the suction tool broke. Off to Harbor Freight or some such place to get another one. We'll see...

Used the Mighty-vac- there are brakes. It stops and seems to have good feel. Now if I can get the camber compensator and exhaust system to cooperate. I "Y" of the Pacesetter exhaust system sit right where the camber compensator should be. I wanted to get some miles on this car before driving across the desert to Del Mar...
