The ones shown in the pic where ever it is and who ever it was. Those bushings in the pic are for the top of the spindle where the shock attaches. The bottom ones on the A frame where it hooks to the car do not have that lip.

I knew I was right darn it and just could not find a source.

Have it now. The orginal parts list.

I have purchased a coupla sets of lower a bushes and they have all had that lip.

Not saying your wrong, Jack. They probably are not supposed to have that lip. But the lip is what a lot of the suppliers are selling for the lower A-arm bush.
 
Yep - my "new' lower bushings had a lip - came from Eric Jones with the rebuilt a-arms.
 
The top should have the lip the bottom should not.

at least the ones have i dealt with (qualifying statement)

the bottoms have a lip and are all the material of your choice, the uppers have a steel insert as part of the lip where as the lowers don't.

OK, I don't have time to check, but I've got two sets of rebuild kits. One from a swap meet and another that Peter sold me... I think. I'll try to think to check them tomorrow.
 
The top bushing at the shock has a lip... it is actually a steel liner that extends outward and forms the lip. Some in current production may have rubber flash over the steel, but it is there.

The lower inner also have a lip, but it is not made of steel. It also happens to be the same part as used on MGB and big Healey top shock trunnions.

There was a time when someone was selling a bushing without a lip.
