OEW 1959 Bugeye on Ebay

I can't believe someone would relenquish that because of "storage" problems... If it's as well maintained as it appears in the photos, it'd be worth having. Anything between the current bid and $10K would be fair, IMO. It'd be hard to find a "dirver" and put it into that apparent condition for less.

What a happy little car. Hope he goes to a good home. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

That would be a steal at 10K, should be about 16 or so just with a quick look at the pics.

Man, don't do this to me! It's only about 1 1/2 hours away from my garage. Do I really need another one?

*PSST*!!! John!! It's a turn-key car!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

Then somebody just stole it at: US $9,114.00

Nice car. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Excellent, I expect that both parties are pleased.

Very close to what I paid, except that ncbugeye has a 1275 and disk brakes, and is 98% (seriously) rust-free.

You guys wanna know something that will make you sick to your stomach?

This car was advertised in the autotrader here for three weeks at $3500 OBO, I was seriously looking at it but could not get hubby to commit.

I wanna puke.

Ah!, the MAGIC of e-bay /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
Too bad you didn't grab it out of the Autotrader, eh!!

I am so mad, I can't believe it, I looked at that car for two weeks, the thing that scared me was the rust and the fact I had no where to put it. I did notice that the guy that bid on it had zero feedback, I might call the seller directly and ask him that if it doesn't go through that I will buy. I know I don't need another car with mine giving me the problems it is, but the bugeye is the one I wanted in the beginning but could not find one in my budget.

If you can still get it (especially at the price you mentioned) get it and use the one you have now as a donor car for spares. You would be amazed at how much stuff is interchangable! It seems that once you get into these cars, they have a way of multiplying!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

If that first person backs out the car would probably now be out of my budget even so. I will still call him and email him.
