Odd Bonnet question

So over the years I have lost count how many times I have removed the "bonnet" on my 66 Sprite for various repairs. Anyways I noticed last week that the bonnet, where it meets the bulkhead, is about a half an inch lower than the bulkhead. Is this something I can fix by placement of the washers under the two hinges where they attach to the bonnet and is there a trick to where you put the washers to raise the back of the bonnet?
 
Sure why not......seems like it would work. "Lucky" you don't have a bugeye.....to adjust one it has about 4 adjustment. Also, the rubber sealing strip located at the back of the hood opening can also provide an additional height. Scott
 
Cowl Seal, McGregor's in CA. See their ad in the back of Classic Motor Sports. Best to call, they don't respond well to e-mail but their rubber parts fit and are top notch.
