I have discovered an oil leak in my OD housing. After adding some dye in the transmission and running around the block, I have identified a slow seepage of oil coming from a pin hole on the tail stock of my OD. To be clear, it is not pushing past the flange or any gasket. There is a small pin hole in the aluminum rear flange that is seeping oil. So how did I get a pin hole in the aluminum OS tail stock you ask? Beats me..
I have had this car for 11 years and have driven 45,000 mi with no leaks until now. So my question is what does the list suggest on how best to stop the leak. I can pull the tranny if needed but also have a clear line of sight to the OD as I have pulled the transmission tunnel off.
