Observation is a pain...

Today on a smoke break, I observed some moisture on the edge of my left shoe sole. I thought it was odd, because it's not raining here, there's no moisture on the ground at all, and no one spilled anything in the kitchenets around the office. So I had to investigate this fluid on the edge of my shoe sole. I reach down, swipe it with a finger, rubed it against a thumb and discover it had a slight slickness to it. Suspicions form in me brain housing unit. Next on the list of tests was to smell the fluid. So I promptly smell me fingers for odors, and the suspicions were confirmed. Brake Fluid... only it's on me left foot so that means Mr clutch master cylinder is leaking a bit. Fluid had dripped onto me left foot while driving into work this AM.

I've changed the brake booster on my car, so I know that cramped area fairly well. I'm so not looking forward to pulling the Clutch Master and trying to squeaze me hands down in there and up through the fire wall to get everything hooked back up.

That's why you rarely see an MG owner with nice shoes. It ain't worth the risk!

Rob, you coming to Buttonwillow next weekend?

Oh great... NOT. Check/top up your master before setting off this eve. Gonna be a "may as well" do the slave too... or have you already done that? I think I recall...

erm... this is on my 'nice' shoes... Sketchers... most difficult pair of shoes to drive a MGB with IMO thanks to the wide soles.

Buttonwillow? Is that in the events section?

d'oh... yeah I just looked that stuff up. I've scheduled to go to a Ren. Fair that weekend. I'll have to check...

Is there a nurse involved? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

hummmmm... well, it's with the ex-roomies... The better half of that pair is a nurse... no other nurses on this outing

'k. Just wonderin'.

I've already met the one nurse.... not really my cup of tea...

there's a joke that is begging to be quoted here....but I'll refrain.

"Discretion is the better part of valor."

---or so I'm given to understand.

So we'll just let this dozin' pooch be.

yeah.... i was a bit perplexed, and googled "ren fair nurse" and couldn't find anything that would make sense or apply to humor.... so I still sit in the dark on that one... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

'nuther one bouncing off the walls & I'm not catching it....

Well if you can make it let me know and we'll meet up at the track. It's a great weekend of vintage racing and you get to drive the track at lunchtime.

hmmmmmmm.... ya know... I bet if I sprinkled a small amount of cement mix in there it'd stop leaking too /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

ya better make sure it is grout mix...lasts longer that way! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
