I have a 1960 BT7. It's a driver. Took it out for about 45 minutes today since I hadn't run it in about 4 weeks. Anyway, the Transmission started making some serious noise in 2nd (clanking). Seems to be OK in all the other gears. I live about 1 hour south of Boston. Does anyone have any recommendations for where I can take it to get diagnosed and fixed? At least I am glad it happened in Decemebr, it ran great all spring/summer.

I recently dropped my BJ8 tranny off at Quantum in Conneticut for a rebuild. It isn't finished yet but I can tell you I was very impressed with John's knowledge of LBC transmissions. Nice guy too.

He's about two and a half hours from my house on Long Island and I was glad I made the trip. Probably a couple of hours from you. Hope that helps.
 
I have had good success with Quantum. My car, a 100 m is used for vintage racing and has a non-overdrive four speed. Taking the tranny out is not a difficult task. You can do it with an assistant in an afternoon using jack stands. A lift is not required jtb
