WE as the BCF Triumph folks have earned it!!!

The broke down, jack stand Crypt Car:
Year 2006-12 months-67 miles driven-broke down
Year 2007-11 months- few 100 miles driven-broke down

23 month average @ 7 miles driven between breakdowns.
Drive times measured in minutes and 1/10 of miles between
breakdowns. Min. 4 hours per day spent repairing broke
down car with BCF help..

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

December 25th, 2007 - appears Amos
03 Jan 2008 AM- took stones out of closet, hopped in Amos
and headed into the interior mountains. Sans jack stands
in trunk, no cell coverage- Just me and Amos and $20.00

Clocked past 700 miles w/out breakdown- Called Paul w/ news.

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gifdrive, drive, drive twisty mountain narrow roads,
switchbacks galore, drop dead beautiful. Have to stop:
$15. for gas for Amos, $5. for grub for Dale.

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gifdrive, drive clocked past 800 miles w/out
breakdown. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/lol.gif

Seven hours later, sun is setting as Amos speeds home with
160+ miles covered without even a hint of breakdown.
I am now a confirmed, hoplessly addicted, TR6 owner.

Dale:
This is the success story of 2007 for the BCF
When I first read a post by you, this car was headed for the crusher. Now you run around PR as if everyday is TR6 fun day.
I'm very glad you can enjoy this car.
just don't forget the little guy in Canada who has to rest cars for "Snow"

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/winner1.gif Dale and Amos!!

WOW. that's some nice scenery. I wonder if Amos would be willing to take some more passengers up into those places.
Glad to hear all's well. Keep 'em rollin Dale!

Congrats again buddy! You sure deserve the "perseverance award" for 2007.

Go, Dale! Sorry to repeat this one shot, but it brings back great memories for me...February 1969, and I'm with my high school's concert band on a tour of Puerto Rico. I'll never forget our bus driver on the island -- Castillo Colon (sorry if I've omitted any diacritical marks in his name) -- and the way he'd snake that bus up and down those winding mountain roads, passing (yeah!) anything at any time curve or straight, uphill or down. Kinda scary to those of us awake during the ride!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif

That's great news Dale. I am very pleased for you. You certainly deserve to have a good few hundred miles of trouble-free motoring after all that you have put up with. Fantastic pictures too.
Nick

Congrats, does that mean you've got some room in your trunk now that you've unloaded that spare car you were keeping in there?

Tinster, you are a lucky man in a wonderful situation, with the scenery to match. Sometimes I am envious....

Box!

That's a horrible photo, dude!

We also get volcanic ash dustings from time to time but
never more than 1/4" depth. Yours is a much lighter grey
than our ash.
