I took some time today and changed the forum summary page intro section. Instead of just having static HTML code/text, I have it rigged so that when you refresh your screen (or otherwise come back to the forum index page) you will see random stuff in the info section. For exameple, on one visit you might see something about the Virtual Rally. Then, then next time you visit that Forum Index page, you might see something about our British Car Club database, or the Writers Corner, or our Artists Section. I did this to give a little more visibility to some of the other places on the site besides the forums. I'll add more to it later.

One of the differences with the BCF & other forums is that I always enter the BCF through the Portal Page...but with other forums, I just go directly to the BBS!

It should not make much if any difference. It just adds one very simple query to the database. Should not affect the site at all.

Hi Basil;

It has`nt changed anything on my end relative to speed etc:

What it did do is drive me /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif into looking at the "Members Artwork" section that I really never have visited before!

It also promted me to contact a gent (Richard M. Browne) that makes some Beautiful Canvas Prints in various sizes: I have 2 of them: I suggested to him to contact yourself relative to joining the Club here and become a sponsoring member:
