40mm Micro Nikkor, 1/125th @ ∱8, ISO 1000. On the boot-lid of Herself's Camry this AM. Bit soft due to hand-held and no bracing.

Yep. Segmented bodies are ants AFAIK. Swarmed around our outside flood light last night. Sent it to my pest control pal, we'll see what an expert has to say. Pr'olly coulda used sticks, they weren't moving too vigorously.

Yep. Pest control guy says it's a queen and workers hunting new digs. These ones died mercilessly.

Lots of insect critters comin' outta the ground here just lately.
