I have a friend with a Healey that does not want to run. A few months ago he replace the Jet diaphrams because the were leaking fuel. Since then it has not run right. I was over today to help him. The engine will spin over we have spark at all cylinders. Pulling in the choke it does not seam to pull the choke all the way no mater how you adjust the cable. It seams not to be getting any gas. Trying to start the engine as if it is flooding we were able to get some poping and coughing. Can just changing the Jet diaphrams cause starting issue.

Well, after changing the jet diaphragm, you will have to initiate the tuning process.

Typically, the jet needles should be replaced with the jet well; you may be able to see/feel wear along their tapers.

Start by placing both jet wells at the same height, flush with the bridge, then lower them the equivalent of two (2) turns, and you should be able to at least get the engine running.
