Not broke down, running great

Nothing on the Crypt Car is presently broken down
or needing replacement (except gas tank). The car
fires up instantly, charges down the street and
rumbles throatily thru the gears now that no potatos
are in the exhaust pipes. I think I have finally
replaced every piece of the car with new.

So now what? This is a new experience for me.
Nothing broken down in need of repairs. The
car is actually streetable.

Purchase a flatbed and drag it from show to show?
Or drive it until it breaks down again?

You could always break it on purpose just to give yourself something to do.

Dale- I think we have heard this before. We are keeping our fingers crossed.

You could give it to me for the heck of it and start over again with another project. Heehee!

I don't think I've ever been at the point where almost every
original mechanical part of the car has been rebuilt or replaced,
at least once or twice, (except for the long block)

Maybe I should leave well enough alone and purchase
a Trailer Queen rig. Crypty is a nice looking Triumph TR6.

Heck Tinster, you need to buy you a new project LBC, can't let all this knowledge and experience go to waste!

Glad for yer, Tinkerman

Major case of stage fright right now.

2+ hours, 60+ miles driven without a breakdown-
in a single day. Almost a record for my car.

I'm a bit scared to take it out but for the life of me,
I don't know what to check for the next breakdown item.

It looks like it needs another coat of wax. Paints getting a little dull.....

Dale, Have I ever shown you a pic of my car?

Hope it makes ya feel better! hehehehehehe.
but I do have to say, it's never broken down on me...

Don't worry... it's a British car... it's only a matter of time... and it will break whether you're driving it or not... so DRIVE IT! :yesnod:

Ian's right.

...unless th' Boss can suspend th' Second Law.

Or I get a surprise trip to P.R.

I see your car is a trailer queen. Good idea.

Ya caught me Paul- I waxed the beast yesterday afternoon.
It looks much better now.

Dale,
I think a bit of motor sport is now in order. Do they run any rallies or other competitions on the island?
Nick

Dale, I think your next repair needs to be replacing your tires when you wear out the tread!

She looks good Dale. I say drive her.

That said - I TOTALLY GET the worry about when the next breakdown is going to happen. I went / am going through that with some of the issues I've had. Planning on taking lots of local trips to build up my confidence...
