Not British, but it is old!

This is my next project, a 1966 Honda S90. 89ccs of raw power.

Wasn't looking for one exactly, but it popped up locally at a low price. 1745 miles and completely original, down to the tool kit, owner's manual, even the original issue title. It's been sitting for a few years, so will need a good going through of the fuel system and brake adjustments (no hydraulics). A project for later.

My wife thinks I'm nuts.

funny thing was 2 years later I upgraded to a brand new
1975 1200 SuperGlide....I've never done things at a gradual
pace...

Those old Hondas have such nice lines. Simple and graceful.

I'm going to guess that's a Honda 305 Scrambler. I had a ruby red '67 version of that bike (in '69).

The only other guess would be a 160 Scrambler, but I think the seat was different on the smaller-engined bike.

Nial...nice guess...exactly..can't remember for sure but I think it was a 1965..never road a motorcycle before...saw it for sale on the street my senior year in HS...walked back to it 2 miles from home bought it and rode it home...the folks were real happy with me...NOT!

BTW: Drew the honda is cute...but the Bonnie is SWEET!

I was pushing the 2 bikes around this evening to take a few pictures after I cleaned up the Honda. Boy, comparing the two, that Bonnie is heavy! 175# for the Honda, 450# for the Bonnie. Bonnie felt light before, but the little Honda is like a bicycle!

Right now I've got 2 bikes plus the disassembled Tunebug in my bay of the garage. I could probably get one more small Honda in there before there was no room at all. In fact, I've got plans for just that concept, but not until the Tunebug is on the road again.

You could always build a small mezzanine over the Tunebug for all your motorcycles!

Now that's a good idea, Tony. The Tunebug, after all, is pretty short.

In the end, 2 or 3 bikes along with the Tunebug is all I can handle, financially or temporally. I like the little Hondas for just this reason: small, inexpensive, and full of character. One more to acquire (early 70s Trail 90) and I'll have my whole collection complete.

I'm going to stick with the little Hondas for now. Who knows what might come up in the future, though. Lots of interesting little bikes out there...

I took my very first solo motorcycle ride on that exact model S90 Honda. It`s pretty cool to see one again.

The only other two wheeled vehicle I had ridden on up until that day, was on the back of my friends Cushman Eagle.

I had a blue S 90, did about 60mph flat out, I loved it!
Sold it and got a Matchless G80S, a 500 single, i still like singles.

It's a neat little bike for sure. It cleaned up pretty well too. Still not running, but I'll fix that issue later this summer when I have time (and money).

Thanks, Tony. I'm very fond of both of them, and I haven't even ridden the little one yet. Closest thing I'll ever have to a collection... maybe I can only have black bikes now. Maybe white is okay too, so they would match the Tunebug.
