NOT an LBC question but...

I'm trying to replace o-rings, etc in my John Deere tractor remote hydraulics. There is a little control lever with a roll pin holding it on. This roll pin HAS to be removed so that the lever can be gotten out of the way. It's about a 7/64ths pin and I've bent two punches so far. PB and acetone/ATF haven't helped. You cannot drill out a roll pin. Any suggestions? I'm now at a loss.

You can try to thread a tap into it and pull it out. BUT!!!! If you break the tap off your problems just increased in magnitude a lot. Also, if you are not already doing so, get a snap on punch. Better steel... Just my 2 cents.

Generally speaking, the pressed in roll pin should be able to be pushed out with a wheel/pulley/gear puller. They make them with pins that push against the center of the shaft. Are you certain it's a roll pin and not an Allen key. I can't tell you how many time I have made that mistake and ruined parts and machinery in the process.

It is definitely a small roll pin. I've never had this much trouble getting one to move. I'm at my wit's end with this !!

I've tried it both ways...it won't move at all.

Keep puttin' th' weasel pee on it, go again both ways tomorrow.

Can you SAFELY apply a little heat to the handle to expand it a little?
