Just wanted to say hi. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/savewave.gif I inherited a 1959 Austin Healey Bugeye that needs some work all the way around. I currently own a 2002 WRX bugeye. I am 25 years old and married. I am thinkin of ditchin the stock motor in favor of something a little newer. Maybe an SR20DET or a 1.8T. Anyway is it morally wrong to do a swap like this. What is the biggest engine to fit in the engine bay without modifing the hood, i dont want a pro street car so obviously no LS1 swaps here. but a nice roadster. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

But you would be better off to do an intro on the "Spridgets" forum here at British Car Forum.
("Spridgets" = Sprites and Midgets).
Your Bugeye (or "Frogeye" as the Brits call it) is a Spridget.

Most of the folks on this part of the forum are owners of "big" Healeys, which are very different cars.
 
Welcome. I'm sure you'll find a lot of useful information here and from the Spridget forum. You might also get in touch with the "nasty boys"- they're mostly big Healeys too, but they the odd little one about, most with American V8s but some with other engines. They'd know a lot about swapping engines and uprating other systems.
