Can anyone provide info/diagram for speedometer cable routing for non OD TR3? I've searched, but no success (most posts seem to address OD cars).

Grazie mille!

Could anyone verify that the cable passes thru the bulkhead (in the area of the pedal box)? What limited info. I've found, seems to indicate that. My recently acquired TR3A has the cable routed from the speedometer passing thru the tunnel on the drivers side to the transmission connection, never passing thru the bulkhead. Non OD transmission.

Thanks, JS

Harder for me to say as I'm RHD, but on my non OD box the cable comes from the LHS of the box (seen from the driver/passenger seat), curves to run forwards past the clutch release arm along the chassis and then come up and curves back. In my car it comes through a grommet in the bulkhead below the battery box and then under the dash to the speedo. In your car it would just rise up and go through the bulkhead behind the speedo - I don't know which hole though.

Thank you! My current set up never leaves the interior cabin until the cable passes thru the tunnel on drivers side (LHD) to transmission connection. I'm replacing (cable recently broke) today and want to route properly. Best, JS

I would have posted sooner, but we are RV’ing it and have a slow connection. I was hoping someone else would have as good, or better, shots. Anyway...glad it helps!
