Spitfire No start after fiddling with dash

Hello all, I pulled my dash out part way on my ‘67 spitfire to check what was behind it
( replacing tired wood dash with fresh)
After replacing, went to pull the spit back into the garage & no start ……
And this car always starts
Turns over fine and seems to catch and barely run & doesn’t respond to throttle and dies.
Is it possible I disconnected the ignition - coil wire ? Would that cause these symptoms ?
Started raining like mad ( of course) so I stretched a tarp over it and will have at it as soon as the sun shines again.

Seems the challenge is the ignition switch, maybe... There are some many wires and the contacts are less than secure, meaning they come apart easily. I'd follow the wires aroune the ignition swwitch.

Well ……
Rebuilt the carbs , new fuel line / fuel / Filter, still no start ( even with a squirt of starter fluid)
Moved on to timing, pulled rocker cover to check valves for TDC & pulled distributor cap to check rotor position - way off
Turns out distributor was loose & pulling dash pulled the tach cable which pulled the distributor……..
Glad it was so “simple”
Twisted & set distributor & runs great !
