TR4/4A No lights

So...another development...checked the 1964 TR4 this morning and I found I had no head lights...panel lights...taillights or parking lights...have blinkers and brake lights...I read about maybe an in-line fuse???...maybe this???...checked the fuse and it is intact...should there be power to the fuse holder with the lights on?...took my electrical tester but there was no power to the top fuse...suggestions???...help { gulp }...Marla

Unless someone has changed the wiring, there is no fuse for the headlights.
Check the power feed to the switch. If that is OK, the switch is the most likely suspect.

I did pull out the cassette player the other day...just pulled out the head light switch and noticed there were 4 paddles but only 3 had plug in wires...thinking that there is a plug in wire that pulled off that goes to this 4th paddle???...yep found the wire and put it on the switch paddle...no joy...now thinking that the other wire that is hanging loose might be from the ignition to the head lamp switch...maybe that wire got pulled off too when I took out the cassette player...Marla

Not in this application. That switch got used in a lot of different applications, maybe some of the others used that terminal, but not TR4 headlights.

After the suggestions posted on this topic I did get the head light switch to work...when I took out the old cassette player I pulled off the blue wire to the head lamp switch and also the brown and blue wire to the ignition...unintended consequences laid heavy karma on me...but thanks to you guys all is well...Marla
