no healey this summer

Offline
as of yesterday its official, surgery on the left torn rotator may 6th, hospital for special surgery n.y., ive been putting it of since the accident on thanksgiving just cant take the pain anymore and "the victoria" has been furious with me to get it done, thing is i could have gotten the new elect. harnes in along with the rebuilt engine and trans and s.s. brake lines in about two weeks even if i went easy on myself but it just aint gunna happen, so two months rehab along with rest (ya right), it will be late august early september before i get the healey done, it should be law that anyone owning a british car of any kind must not live more then 5 miles from any other owner, it would be o.k. to live in another state but not more the 5 miles away so in the unlikely event one of us is unable to work on our car we could all pitch in and get it done, ya know kinda like we do here helping each other, or we could all just move to new mexico right next to BASIL.

Hey Anthony,
Sorry to here about the surgery. Take it easy and you'll heal faster. The older I get the longer it seems to take though, maybe I'm just less patient.

BTW, you stay away from New Mexico! Basil got a full plate AND a side dish.

Stay away from New Mexico... last week in the news it became the 2nd state behind Nevada as the state with the worst crime rate....
move here and you might get your car stolen.....LOL

Get well soon..

same could be in my future. First it was the elbow tendon attachment, next Rotator

dnk, i can tell you the "rotator" operation is not a walk in the park, i had it done 16 years ago on the same arm, like gregw mentioned you need to do all your rehab work, rest it well and continue to baby it for a good spell once you start using the arm, i was very lucky to locate the doc. that did my first operation, dr. craig, out of n.y.c. at the hospital for special surgery, hes the preeminant surgeon in this field, due to the severity of my injury he was recomended by the first surgeon i went to here in stamford, id thought dr. craig had retired but he must have a portrait in his attic like dorian grey because he looks younger now then he did back then, im really not looking forward to being in la-la land for the first couple of weeks taking the meds, might wake up one morning and find a volks wagon engine in the bj7.
