no fire coming out of coil

have fire going into coil but not out of coil. Car won't start. When turn the key on it sparks and after turning the engine over and it doesn't start it sparks after trying to start. Some said maybe a short in ignition switch. This is Flame thrower electronic ignition. Husband thinks it is the ignitor in the distributor? Any suggestions.

Power on and off spark usually means ignition switch okay.
Probably an igniter. I think there is an on-line troubleshooting process. I'll see if I can find it again.

Hopefully you are right. We ordered one and it is on its way. Had to order from out west so takes a few days. Should be here today or tomorrow. Thank you so far you seem to be on the same wave length as my husband after trying several other things. Thank you for your help.

Did the fire come out of new coil?
