Sorry to read the bad news. I would suggest you start a new thread so you get the attention of the TR6 guys. I have a remote starter which makes this task easy but you will either need someone to help or lay the plug out connected and crank in the dark to see if you can see any spark (light). I don't know how easy it is with a six to stand outside the car in neutral, e-brake on and crank the engine over while twisting sideways around the hood to try and gain a peek either. I can do it pretty easily with the 3 top off.
