Nigel Update

So

i have been away for a while, no internet ugh!!

and i though i would give you an update on my project Nigel

well half way through body work my wifes job got downsized so the budget
for body work/ painting had to go for other things (food lights heet ect)
but the body guy who is a friend has been very cool and we figured out
a smaller budget and what we could do just to get the car to look good for this summer. so we are going to paint him in the next two weeks and im picking him up Memoral weekend

so tonight im watching an mg is born again and itching to get back on the road with Nigel but i have a question

we have removed all the weather stip from Nigel and i looked on moos for replacement and got confused i was hoping for a kit to replace all the weatherstip but i didnt find any

anyone know of a kit to replace alll the weather strip?

thanks for the help

Ray

Re: Nigel Update

No, no complete kit - you have to order it by the piece.....how much of your old stuff is useable?

Re: Nigel Update

AH! First lesson of MG restoration: never throw anything away until the car's finished!

Re: Nigel Update

thanks

for the lesson

so can you help me out with the seals?

Re: Nigel Update

I can get new ones - don't know how many old ones I have for a roadster.

Re: Nigel Update

if you have used one that would be prefered
if not new ones would be fine

i also need air cleaner bolts both air cleaners were in the trunk of the
car when i got it but i didnt get any bolts

Re: Nigel Update

Try the hardware store for bolts. They should have ones that fit. Take you air cleaner with you.

... but then, for many of us, we'd never throw anything out!
