26 F in Billings, 13 with the wind chill. Supposed to be 51 on Sunday, so a short drive will be in order. I need to do just a few more things today to the TR4 to be ready for the year. Love a heated garage.

Nice here in Maine too, but after 12" of snow yesterday, ice and snow is melting everywhere. Plenty of salt and calcium chloride to rust your brake lines that won't be washed away for a couple of months, at least. The snow banks at the road totally hide our 5 foot fence and are packed hard as a rock. I'm not even driving my Tundra in this slop unless I have too. But a nice day for a snowshoe in the woods nevertheless.

But the TRs are snugly tucked away in the barn just waiting for me to come out and wrench on them a bit. If only my back didn't throb from the snow removal ...

Mid 40's here in Ipswich, by the sea, MA, But a few inches of rain on top of the frost has melted everything & the run off/thaw down my dirt driveway has created a mud pool 15' in dia & 6" deep. Spent 1-1/2 on my 30 yr old Simplicity with the snow blade pushing the water & mud around so that it may drain & dry up.

I was cold at 70 on RT95 with the top down, but worth every freezing moment. Of course my legs and body were toasty with the trusty TR6 heater blasting but the head got a little chilly.

I did get a lot of waves and smiles as I buzzed along so people are getting anxious for spring.

Only 6 or 7 more weeks and we'll be basking in the sun and crusin' along.

Yep, cold here in Scotland too, but well worth it. My 8 year old came along too for the ride and he urged me to take the top off. (well trained!) It didn't seem too cold until the return journey when the sun disappeared behind the clouds and rain threatened.

I felt the Same way in NJ. Finally all traces of salts washed away!!!

I went for a drive this afternoon. Noticed the Spit was running a little rough, and idling low, about 500 rpm's.

Got home and adjusted the idle speed back to 800. When she felt like it was idling fine. I noticed the #1 plug wire disconnected. I had changed the fan belt last weekend, needed the extra clearance to push the alternator over to fit the new belt, and pulled the plug wire off.

Refitted the plug wire, adjusted the idle screw exactly where it was when I started, and she runs a nice 800 rpm idle.

IPSWICH...home of Mercury Brewing... I just had one of their Oatmeal Stouts, and last night I had a couple of their IPA's. They make the best Oatmeal Stout I ever had, (yes, better then Samuel Smith's) and their IPA is very well balanced. Not overly hopped. Thanks for the loan of your weather. Next time can you send the temperature too. It seems that about 40 degrees got lost somewhere in transit! Still, there was no sign of the TR overheating after its radiator repair.

Low 50s here today... took the TR out for about an hour. *sigh* As much of a pain in the butt as she is, I love that car!
