We received a nice letter from our son's commander in (somewhere over there) and also a nice picture of their unit. My boy is in the front row, first guy to the <span style="text-decoration: underline">left of center</span> (but only as viewed from the front :rolleyes: )

He is currently flying the Predator UAV.

He is (an AC) but his current assignment is flying the Predator. All of the guys in that picture are qualified on some other platform.

My nephew in Cal is working on the next generation of Predator drone. He has his masters in aeronautical engineering. I could tell you more, but you know what I would then have to do......

Shaun has already had several offers to work on UAVs in the private sector should he punch out. Command pilot with Masters in EE.
