No particular destination. Things were wrapped up for the evening, so I asked my wife if she wanted to go for a ride. In the Healey? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Cool evening, paved country roads, past twilight, a night when you don’t mind the heat from the tranny…

Everything’s running perfectly, it’s a good night. That’s a Healey grin I’m wearing! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

For me, it's a summer evening right after sundown when the 100-degree heat of the California Central Valley has dropped to 85. Back country roads, somewhere nearby a newly mown alfalfa field. Maybe some stars above. That's what my buddy used to call a "Healey night". It was as true 43 years ago when I first experienced it as it is now. Maybe some would say the feeling could be the same in another car, but I don't think so.
Today's heat is gone, the time is right, and I know where the hay fields are. I think I'll asked my wife if she up for a ride in the country.
