Nice! but not that nice.

If you like it, jump right in! After all, there is an extended warranty, so he says! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif

Boy this is a tough crowd to play to /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I agree with the assesment here...maybe a $10k car, but knowing the area, he might get $15-16K for it there...after all, what do people pay for a Miata with less than 10,000 miles on it? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Lots of things wrong with this picture, but there is a sucker born every minute /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nopity.gif

I saw that 800 mile MGB at Twist's MG party in Grand Rapids a couple months ago. The car was literally sitting in a showroom/museum all these years. Never even titled. The owner bought it last year sometime and told me at the show he was selling it. It's a pristine, original, new-in-box LE. Straight from the factory. Is that car worth $18,000? Far more than the one this thread is about. Are any of them worth $18,000? Obviously to some people!

Guinn....you've gotta be kidding! Apparently you don't know my collection ;>)

...here's a photo of my '79 ORIGINAL car - how do I know its original? I bought it new & with the exception of 1 Saturday when my daughter was in high school, I'm the only person to drive it!

Gentlemen,
In the real world the car looks to be worth about 14K . 18 is really stretching it. If what the seller says is true, that its stock with only 8k miles, well, where did they get a vacuum tube large enough to fit it in? Some things simply will not go 25 yrs without rotting. Whether its driven or not. And even in the UK you can pick up a decent MG for 5K. I got the one I now drive for $100.00. We all know how much we sink into our own restorations, but do most of us really expect to recover that amount? And if the car is stock with the OEM parts then where did all the new rubber come from? The RubberMaid?
