I don't often "out" things on CL, but this one looks promising and (for once) not a lunatic price. It's in Ojai, which is a bit out in the boonies.

On the other hand, some other optimistic soul on the Ventura CL is offering a Bugeye for $28,900. I think that might be just a tad overpriced, but what do I know?
 
I don't know. Having passed a number of LBC crashes in SoCal while growing up down there, a collapsible steering column is not "high" on my list of options for crash survivability.
5-point belts and a full roll cage, with an on-board fire suppression system, yes.

Interesting extra cut-away behind the seats...

All in all, not unreasonable given the modifications. I'm in mine more than that with some of the same mods, and still have the 5-speed to go.
 
Could this actually be another later Spridget with a grafted on BE back end considering the cutout behind the seats.
 
603 is a New Hampshire area code. 661 is correct for Ojai. I wonder if the sequence of the 603 and the 661 is transposed.
