Next Project 58 Sprite

Holy Batman, Kemo Sabe!!

must have been a good motor in it, not too many leaks to keep the underside from rusting

Haha, ok sprite nut. That is a mess indeed. Assume it was cheep or even free.

Looking forward to see what you do with it.

There is no doubt that you sir, truly are THE spritenut. Others would have ran from such a task. I salute you.

You know Frank, anyone with a speedwell deserves that.

just a little winter project eh?

Supose he will have it running by the 50th?

"But I WILL have it at the meets and shows by May of 07"
... either you have a bunch of free time on your hands, or you will be trailering it to the meets.

Good luck, keep us posted.

My last Sprite (the Speedwell) took 56 days from picking it up to driving it to a meet.
My Healey 3000 took 4 months from the day I brought it home untill I took it on a Fall drive with the car club.
It was as bad as this 58 and I never did a Healey before.
This is a piece of cake. It just needs a little sheetmetal, maybe $1000 worth of panels /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif a bit of welding and a paint job. Some interior panels, drive train, electrical system, and everything else. 8 months should be plenty of time.
After all what else would I do after work?

Oh gesh, your wife knows where you are. That's why it works so well.

I love how you flipped it on its side to shwo the bottom!! lol

well at least you have the fuel pump! lol. noticed it was right hand drive ... are you changing that?

Help me with mine? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

I admire your skills. Is this a 56 day project, a 4 month project, or have we slowed with the wisdom of age?

You had me laughing when I got to the sideways pic.

I think it has a name (RUSTY).

The Plinth looks like it is saveable.

OK Frank, so seriously, how much damage will you do by laying it on it's side? I ask because I will be needing to turn my 63 over to replace the floors...looks like the easiest (read CHEAP) way to do it.

Thanks,
Don
