Next door neighbor died

Our next door neighbor, Mark, died today. Late 40's early 50's maybe. Very good shape - exercised all the time and worked for the NM Game and Fish Dept. He was supposed to pick up his daughters from school and when he didn't show up a neighbor went to check and found him deceased next to his treadmill. Very very sad.
 
Ouch! I am so sorry to hear this. How old were his girls?
 
Oh rats. Induces a "flashback" to last May, here. Sooo sad to have to watch as it all comes unglued. My friend and neighbor Cameron died in a crash away from home and left two teenage kids and his wife stunned and alone.

Very traumatic. Sorry to hear this. Waay too young.

What a terrible loss to his family. Very sad news indeed.

Sudden death in younger folks is often aortic rupture, which can be so sudden that little can be done, even if a medical help is present.
And it's hard to detect in regular physicals.

Still, regular physicals are a good thing.
My NASA race license "forces" me to get one every two years.
 
I lost my Dad when he was 42 and I was 12. I feel for those kids and his wife.
 
I have no words. Just shock and deep sadness.
 
I'll send up a prayer Basil. My greatest fear is of something like that happening to me or my family.
I agree with Nial. Every day is a gift. use it wisely. Gonna go hug my wife and kid now.
 
Renee and I add our prayers, Bas. Someday we'll understand, but not with these bodies and minds.
 
This is indeed very sad. In Oct. 2008 I lost a friend to a heart attack. He was only 39. My prayers go out to the family.

Our prayers go out to all this situation has effected. I lost a good friend in his mid 50's to a brain aneorism while working in his basement shop. He too was healthy. And this year my wife had a heart attack while her blood pressure is always listed as low, she exercises regularly, and had quit smoking. It turns out that the hereditary factors were outweighing her own attempts. Luckily for us she is doing great, but it sure was a wake up call for us both.
