See my announcement thread! The next rally is on! Discuss here! (Remember not to give hints for legs you have played!)

Hey Steve,
That's very nice of you to give the prize. One question; if there is a five-way tie, do you cough up a grand?

Actually that's a good question. In case of a tie, we will have an instant death run off.

And don't forget your coffee when you come through Clarksville!

...I'll meet you at the station...

Well... At least you found Canada finally... Just for that, I had to haul my uniquely Canadian car out for the drive, that would be my 1967 Beaumont SD, one fast machine...

Finished the first leg and didn't see myself on list of rallists. Checked my details and found an "NA" as the result, with a -5 score as per the outcome seen when I'd finished it.

What'd I do?

I'm not excatly sure what happened. It looks like you didn't complete the leg. I have deleted your details, so try again. Be sure NOT to leave the game page with your browser until you are sure you have completed the leg. Let me know (PM) if it happens again and then tell me via PM only, what route you choose and what speed. I'll see if I can duplicate the problem.

I only have one question, Basil...why a 1910 Hupmobile as the default vehicle in a British car forum?

That's fun! I just finished my first ever leg. I think I got lucky to get 12 points. I hope it's ok to say that!
My name didn't show up on the list. I hope I don't have to start over!
I can see that using computer maps would be very time consuming. I think I'll just pull out the atlas and hope for the best. Since the car is going to paint tomorrow and I need to be getting things ready to go back on, time is best spent in the shop. That Moss gift cert. would really come in handy to get the car on the road by spring!

Since it ends in Toronto should I expect house guests.

It's cold this time of year.

Cheers

Mark

I don't know what happened, but you'll have to try again, sorry. There is no record of your leg at all in the players database. Make sure you use your DISPLAY name and that you use the correct case "Morris_Dayton." Also, once you complete the route, if there is a link on the page to return to the main rally page, us it instead of just closing the browser. I've had a couple other folks with similar problems, but no idea yet what is causing it. Never had this happen before on any previous rally.

I typed it like this, morris_dayton, with all lower case. I don't know if that's the problem or not but it accepted it.
Too bad about starting over, can I just take a -5 penalty? JUST KIDDING!
I'll try again now.

OK. I got a different screen after viewing my results this time. I got a -2. I looked at my results on the Rally page and it shows my stage 1 from yeasterday with 12 points and stage 1 again with -2 points. In the result column it says NA? On the overall standing page I'm not listed. Will it pop up later or am I still having trouble.
Sorry to be so much trouble.
Thanks

This is weird. PM me any tell me what route and speed you are trying.

I don't know what happened, but I have put your score in the database so you now show up in the Rally standings as having played leg 1 and have a score of 12 points. Lets see if the second leg tomorrow works better.

Could it be something in the Forum software upgrade? Isn't this the first rally since going to 7.4.1? Or 7.4 for that matter, I can't remember when that happened.
