The '95 Dodge Dakota came with a Pioneer Radio -
I can't even to begin to figure out how to set the time
on this thing.
Watever happened to a radio with TWO knobs,& a dial?
You could look at the radio,& immediately figure out where
the stations were.
I'll probably go back to the factory radio - Is anyone interested in this thing?

And preselect pushbuttons you either tuned manually, pulled a button and depressed to set, or unscrewed a button, press to set, and re-screwed.....

Ah, the good ol' days ...

Ah, yes, all these wonderful new products with their "intuitive" control designs.

My frequent question: Whose intuition?? :wall:

My '69 MGB has the original AM-only radio.

I've been trying to figure out the new, "high tech" timer for the outdoor lights on my house (similar "intuitive" design). Right now all the lights go off when it gets dark and go on during the daytime. I may just change back to the On-Off switch.

Get a high-schooler to program it for you. Should take him less than a minute.

:smirk:

Now where is that on/off button?

Agatha's radio is very versatile. I hear everything from Bach to Lady Gaga and even some music I just don't understand. Why, you say. She doesn't have one and I get to hear all the radios around me. tee,hee

As to setting the time google the type radio and ask "How do I set the time?" Guaranteed you'll get an answer.

Our TR6's the same way.Once, while filling it up with gas,
I had a kid say "Cool car - but where's the radio?".
I explained to him that I listen to the sound of the engine, etc.
He just walked away after that.

Don,

I really hate it when you're right/it's a simple answer.
I still hate modern radios!

That's the way my Miata is. Turn the tuning knob, find a station, press the preselect button until it beeps - done.

Setting the clock is easy too: push the clock button until the clock blinks, then there are two up/down buttons (I think they're normally used to scan up/down on the radio) that are also marked "h" and "m", just press h or m to set the clock, press clock to finish setting it.

That's the stock bose radio used up until 2006. Pretty simple.
