heck to Everyone,
I'm a newbie here. I've had this site bookmarked for a long time, but haven't visited for a long time either. I guess I spend too much time on the ZRX Owner's site (a Kawasaki motorcycle) and the Contour Enthusiasts Group site. But now I've registered and have been reading some posts, or "lurking" as you like to put it. Not crazy about that term "lurking". I prefer to think of it as listening and learning. I'm not one of those people that barge into a conversation and spout off incessantly. If I think I have something worthwhile (or even sarcastic /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif) to contribute, I'll chime in. Anyway, I'm finding some of the topics interesting, and I'll prolly be spending more time here. BTW, I'm /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/canpatriot.GIF, AND I even have a question to ask:
In ALL the electriacl diagrams I've seen for the TR6, I've never come across one that shows the headlight switch that is mounted on the dash. They ALL show a column mounted switch. So my question, is the terminal connection for the Lucas switch the same as for the Clear Hooters? ie. brown to term.3, red/green to term.2, blue to term.1 I've owned my '74 TR6 for 25 years this coming August and the original Clear Hooters finally gave up.
Thanks for your help in advance,

Here is all the shop manual indicates.
"Note that the switch harness wire colours and the vehicle harness wire colours do not totally match. See appropriate wiring diagram."
So, looking at both '72-'74 USA models and TR6 Except USA, the connections from the switch pigtail to main harness are as follows:
red/green = red/green
brown/blue = brown/white
blue = blue
brown = purple
blue/white = blue/white

No swtich numbers are given. Good luck and welcome to the crowd.

Thanks Paul.
Yeah I have two manuals and neither one show what I have (the three position switch on the dash).
Come on.
Can't SOMEONE go out to the garage, pop the switch out and note the terminals/colours for me? It'll take ya all of ten minutes!
I'd do it for YOU.......
