Hi all.
I'm Dave and I live in western Maryland. Last August I became the happy owner of a 70 Triumph GT6+ that sat under a tree for the past 10 years. I'm presently working on bringing it back to life and will post my pleas for knowledge in the Triumph forum.
This is my 4th LBC. I started my love affair with these cars about 40 years ago when I'd see an MGA w/hardtop travelling the road we lived on. The predecessors to the GT6 were a 61 MGA, 74 MGB, and a 69 Spit Mk3. I wish I still had them all!
I took about a 10 year break from the LBC's to expand my horizons with small farm tractors; I rebuilt & sold a 60(?) Ford 681 and now keep a 53 Farmall Cub that I restored to plow the gardens & mow fence lines.
The lurking I've done in this forum shows a wealth of knowledge is waiting to be shared.
I for one appreciate it and the work done to keep this forum active!
Thanks.
Dave

Welcome, Dave!

This is the place for info and fellowship surrounding LBC's. The GT6 was always on my want-list, ever since I saw my first one in high school in '67. Maybe someday...

Hop over to the Triumph forum and post away - lots of kindred souls there.

Mickey

Welcome aboard Dave..!
This is a great forum.... good to see you have a Triumph.
I also love those old tractors... your 53 farmall cub is a real charm..
get a picture on here, would like to see it.

:savewave: Hello, and welcome to the forum from another Marylander!

Hello Larry/longbridgehealy!
We're not too far away! 45 minutes maybe? From the user name and the avatar(?) you're a Healy guy? (Mr. Obvious here.) 100/6 maybe? I love the 100/6 & 3000 series cars. Rolling art to me! Those & the early 50's Lotus' and the C & E Type Jag. Beautiful.
I was afraid that this part of Md had lost all of the LBC fans and I was carrying the banner all alone. ;-) Great to know that's not the case.
Dave

Welcome Dave! You'll certainly be at home here. Love your tractor stuff. Keep us posted.

Hi Dave,

"Welcome" to "THEE" best LBC site you`ll come across. But of course; You already know that.

Introduce Yourself & Your GT to the folks on the "Triumph Forum" and watch the sparks fly!!

Have Fun,

Russ

Welcome Dave, you fit right in here.

Used to have a Cub as a kid, great fun.

We're about an hour and change away. We go about every other year. Found a neat B&B some years ago, and discovered the county wine & arts festival. (the art isn't the attraction) We like going in the fall the best. The colors are wonderful and the lack of crowds makes it peaceful.

Hi, Dave - Yep, it's a 100-6 - good eye! We also have a 59 Bugeye and a 67 Sprite. There's a number of members in this general area, you'll figure out who they are as time goes by. It's good to have another member this close, maybe we'll meet up at some point over the summer.
