Hello all,
My uncle and I are in the process of a ground up, nut and bolt restoration of a 1959 tr3a. we have a good body and frame to start with and two parts cars to use. We determined that the motor that came with the cars is a tr4 engine (and it is seized up too). But for now, we are just trying to get it on the wheels and then we will worry about the engine and the trans install. We have a lot of MGA parts that we are trying to sell to fund our project so if anybody needs a part, let me know. You might want to get over to the Triumph section of British Car Forum if you have any questions regarding your TR3. Lots of good folks over there including many who have re-done TR3s.

Thanks Russ. I watched my grandfather take piles of junk and turn them into rolling art work. Never thought I would be attempting the same but here I am! The cool thing about the TR is that it is small, simple and yet it looks more expensive then most would think. We have two mga coupes and two roadsters and a midget that need much more work than we have skills...lol. Our goal is to sell the tr after driving it for a few months or years and use the funds to restore a coupe or roadster and then repeat the process over and over till we are carted off to the funny farm...lol.
