Hey all,

Willie P; six years owner of a '62 TR4.

Ex-california car, was ziebarted (by PO- yuck! but, also protected the car quite well), no body rust and great frame. Car was last registered and driven in '83.

I drove it for 2 years after a mechanical freshening by two local (long time) enthusiasts; engine out rebuild, carbs rebuilt, brakes rebuilt, trans rebuilt. Bell housing and intake peened and clear coated.

Nothing done to body or frame - ratty interior and cheapo Earl Scheib paint from late 70's.

I decided to take all re-done mechanicals and set aside and embark on my first ever car resto (previously did a '64 Lambretta scooter from junkyard to show winner). POR15 the frame and all suspension, all poly/steel bushings, and some other goodies along the way. Goal is to get a car I can take to the occasional autoX and still have some comfort and style to it.

Presently, everything is restored (except the bodytub)and I am beginning the process of having a complete rolling chassis by end of summer. (I also have three kids under 7yrs old, like to motorcycle, am married, and bicycle tour and run - so fitting TR time in has to be scheduled in). Also, I am three years into financing my own start-up company, so money is a little tight as well.

Thanks! -wpe
