Hi all, just a little about & my car. We (my girlfrend & I) brought a Frogeye last September. Found it on fleebay with 32 seconds till end of auction & bidding was at £2000. It was mot'd and on the road, 1275 engine, disks up front, fiberglass front & back end, looked OK.
We'd been looking for a Sprite for a little while & the dream would be a Frog, but never thought we'd be able to afford one. Well another slug of Glen somthing & for £2400 it was ours.
Next weekend drove it back from Bristol (60 miles) in pi**ing rain. Only problem I had was that I stomped a little hard on the foot dip switch, resulting on a spring passing my ear & no headlights. Great fun to drive though, if a little hairy as the car was a little (LOT) skitterish.
Since then I've started the re-build of the front end, as everything moved, wobbled, flexed & bounced.
The shopping list was basically everything. I've fitted new kingpins & bushes (made myself an alignment tool for the adjustable reemers). Polyurethane bushes in new wishbones, the shocks have been emptied & re-filled with 20W fork oil. New disks & caliper seal kit, etc etc. It's nearly ready. Just a question about fitting an anti-roll bar (see post elsewhere).
That's enough for now, seem to be worbling.

Hi There Hairyone,

"Welcome" to the wonderful world of "LBCs" on the "BCF".

Best Wishes with your "Frogeye" or is it a "Bugeye"?? Whats the "Proper" designation?

Regards,

Russ

In the UK, it's a "Frogeye"; here in the States, it's a "Bugeye". Whichever, welcome! Jump over to the Spridget Forum & tell us more about the car.

Hi, and welcome to the Forum! I've got a Bugeye in the garage waiting for me to have the time to get it back on the road. Lot's of luck with yours!!!
