Howdy gang - As you all know this has to be the greatest site going. Learned alot just lurking.
Late last summer I started restoration on my first car - 60 BUGEYE. Bought it in 66, last registered it in 74, and have been dragging it every move since. Mostly garaged so it's not too bad compared to what I've seen. Got it primed before it got too cold.
--QUESTION-- Need to have all chrome rechromed, but need to debugger the rear bumpers. Am sure I'll need a little 'filler' to get it perfect as they are heavy gage. Anyone know of a filler that could be chromed?

Welcome aboard, from a fellow Bugeye owner. (among many other LBC's.) I think your best bet would be to discuss the bumper issue with your plater. He is more than likely very familiar with the dents and dings, and knows the proper way to address the problem. When I had the rear bumpers done on my GT6, I told the plater just to do what had to be done, and they came out perfect.

Yes welcome to the place with info and no faces to attach it to. I would also recomend talking to a plater, a friend of mine has a plating shop (won't do auto parts, not even his own) it is as far as I know an electrical process so the only filler I can think of would be welding or possibly brazing and then grinding and polishing to get the right shape, But I really do not know but would be intrested to find outkeep us all informed.
