My first test drive of the new year. Round
trip two hours with no break downs. My bucket
of bolts '69TR6 is getting more reliable with
every buggered up/worn out system I replace.
Enjoy the scenery along the northeast mangrove
road and beach at Isla Verde. I sure enjoyed the
ride. Yes, we still have bikini babes here in winter.

Hey, didn't you pass the place where we hung out all one afternoon on the beach eating & drinking under a thatched roof?

Oh, was I hearing a "clunk" whenever you hit a bump? Is that bushings, shocks, or all the parts in the trumk bouncing around? Or, was it just white noise?

Dale, you've logged so many test miles, you could have driven to my house on them alone. Kinda like frequent flyer.

Yup Tony, "El Pulpo Loco" and then maybe 15 more miles down
the coast road. You've a good ear to hear that thump. Nope!
100% complete new suspension and brakes front and rear. New
drive shaft, all new U-joints, new diff mounts, new tranny
mounts, new engine mounts, new body to frame pads, new gas
tank.

So what's left? I built a cover board to go over the tire well.
I have some steel angle iron to keep it from warping. Normally
I put a pair of HD work gloves under the board to keep it
quiet. I used the gloves on my boat suspension and have not
replaced them.

You heard my spare tire cover board thumping up and down on bumps.

Good ear!!! best regards, Dale
